Steve Carell Might Sign For "Beaver" Film

Steve Carell's next films might include a sequel to the hit "Get Smart" and a movie about a man with a beaver puppet.
In the offbeat latter choice, "The Beaver," Carell would play a man who thinks his talking beaver puppet is alive.
The popular comedy actor is lining up projects to fill the time while his TV show "The Office" is on hiatus.

A Big Week in NYC
By Caitlin
This is arguably one of the biggest weeks in the country...and perhaps even bigger in the Big Apple. The historic Village Halloween Parade wound its way through the streets of Lower Manhattan on Friday night and New Yorkers now anxiously awaiting the results of tomorrow's Election, but one of the best days of the year was sandwiched in between: the ING New York City Marathon.
In honor of the runners who spent a year training for what seems an almost impossible task, PopTok has put together some of the best racing/training scenes in television and movie history.
Enjoy!!

Happy Halloween!!
By Caitlin
In preparation for the scariest night of the year, we’ve compiled scenes from PopTok’s top 5 favorite scary movies.
The Exorcist: Because Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a good old-fashioned demonic exorcism. This scene says it all…
The Ring: Not a word is spoken, but the eerie visuals are more than enough to give us nightmares for a week.
Psycho: The suspense and score of the original film makes the Bates Motel shower scene a permanent fixture in Hollywood history.
Steven King’s IT: Hearing the phrase “Hi ya Georgey” simultaneously put an end to any plans to attend the circus, children’s birthday parties, or anywhere with a clown…forever.
The Shining: Jack Nickolson is frightening, but not as scary as the twins in the hallway. Even the new Verizon spoof commercial of this scene scares us!!
There are some more obscure scary movies discussed on WIRED today that you should check out! Or stop by TVGuide.com and a TV Guide test your scary movie expertise with a slideshow photo quiz.
Happy Halloween!!

Thrill! er...
By Stephanie
It's truly a classic - Michael Jackson's "Thriller" is the most overplayed Halloween song. Admit it, you love to hate it. Can you go a Halloween without hearing it blasting over the airwaves? Probably not. Would your Halloween be the same if you never heard it again? Probably yes.
But we're missing the point here - no one has ever made a longer music video, dressed in scarier music video costumes (although I think Marilyn Manson's "This is Halloween" may be a close second) or created a more memorable zombie dance.
With that, please stand up and join me in the Thriller dance.
BTW, for all you MJ fans out there, word on the street is that he's making a COMEBACK! That's right, The Sun is reporting that this "hunk" is making a 30-city comeback tour! woo hoo!

The Olsens define “influencers”…and we’re pleasantly surprised
By Caitlin
Earlier this year we heard chatter of the Olsen twins’ book deal. The initial announcement was pretty vague and our initial reaction was, well, uneasy.
Mary Kate said they “Interviewed the people who have inspired us, with the hope that they will inspire and teach others.” They described their subjects as 'The most interesting, challenging, creative people we know’--- There was fear that it would be 100 glossy pages of life lessons from Bob Saget and Uncle Joey.
This week we were not only relieved, but thrilled to hear more about this book. The book includes people who are legit ‘Influencers’: John Galliano, Christian Louboutin, Terry Richardson, Richard Prince, and Karl Lagerfeld. While the use of the word ‘Influencers’ may be a little liberal in the grand scheme of global and historic importance, these guys are without question the real deals of fashion influence.
We revoke our doubts and salute the twins for demonstrating excellent editorial discretion and launching what may in fact be, the coffee book of Holiday ’08 (the New York Magazine review certainly put it at the top of our wish list)…

Enough of Speidi already… I’m serious!
By Stephanie
I wanted to take this opportunity to vent, and I mean truly vent, about the ridiculousness of the reality couple, Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt, fondly referred to as “Speidi.”
These two somehow always have the pap surrounding them, and yet every pose seems so perfectly… well… posed. Do they really need to make this much effort to be famous? I mean, selling your wedding pics to make a few bucks is perfectly understandable, but calling all your little paparazzi friends to come and take pictures of you? It’s a bit ridiculous.
With that, here are the newest editions to the Speidi scrapbook; a lovely afternoon picking (or posing) for pumpkins:

In other news, here’s a spidey we CAN’T get enough of; perfect, innocent, adorable Spider Man hero, Tobey Maguire. He recently signed on to do a Spider Man 4 and 5; LOVE IT!
